A brief look at the recent developments in the Idlib de-escalation zone.
- 3 pro-govrernment fighters were killed by sniper fire in the al-Zahra association area in western Aleppo;
- Militants shelled Mahardah, Salhab, al-Suqaylabiyah and Masyaf;
- The SAA shelled militants’ artillery units in al-Lataminah and Kafr Zita;
- Government forces struck militant positions in Qaalat Al Madiq and al-Hawiz.

West Aleppo must be cleared at least up to the border with Idlib. It is not Idlib and allowing it to remain exposed to Al Quada in Idlb is foolishness.
When they talk about the Idlib terrorist reservation nobody of course talks about having that reservation only be inside Idlib province. It just happens that Idlib province contains most of that reservation and thus they call it the Idlib deconflictation zone. Had it been in most of any other province it would have been named like that.
