A brief overview of the recent developments in Iraq:
- PM Al-Kadhimi arrived in Basra accompanied by the Ministers of Interior and Defense and the Head of the Counter-Terrorism Service to investigate recent incidents in the Basra city;
- According to OIRSpox, the Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Directorate arrested an ISIS suspect in Erbil;
- Turkish warplanes targeted the alleged PKK positons in the village of Kune Kotir, in the Bradost area;
- A series of protests erupted in the northern Kurdistan region in objection to the bad economic situation and unpaid salaries;
- Convoy transporting logistical supply for the U.S.-led coalition was targeted by an IED in Ghazaliyah area;
- US-led coalition troops withdraw from 8 sites at Taji base and hand it to Iraqi army.
