A brief overview of the recent developments in Iraq:
- Following a joint meeting of the Iraqi military delegation, the Iraqi Kurdistan Region Peshmerga Ministry and its regional forces forces in the city of Dohuk, Iraqi border guards were deployed in the Zakho area to contain Turkish operations;
- Iraqi security forces discovered a new ISIS tunnel in Mosul. It was used as a training ground for ISIS forces;
- The PMU’s Samarra operation room declared on July 1 that it had eliminated an ISIS gathering with mortars in the Al-Zora area, west of the city of Samarra.
