A brief overview of the recent developments in Iraq:
- The U.S. military deployed the C-RAM system in the Baghdad Green Zone;
- Security analyst Husham al-Hashimi was killed by unknown gunmen in central Baghdad;
- Iraqi PM sent condolences to the family of assassinated Husham al-Hashimi , describing his death as a “suicide attack” by ‘’an armed group outside of the law”;
- According to Iraqi media, Iraqi PM agreed to allow Peshmerga to enter Kirkuk, however US Joint Operations Command denies reports of Peshmerga returning to the disputed areas.
