- US coalition warplanes struck ISIS position near the Zab town in Kirkuk governorate;
- According to the U.S. CENTCOM commander Gen. McKenzie, in coordination with the Government of Iraq and the coalition partners, the U.S. has decided to reduce its troop presence in Iraq from about 5,200 to 3,000 troops during the month of September;
