- On September 9, Deputy Commander for Operations of the IRGC, Abbas Nilforoushan warned that the deadline for the Iraqi government to disarm terrorist groups in the Kurdistan region ends on September 19, 2023;
- On September 9, two PKK members were killed by Turkish drone attack in Sulaymaniah province, according to the Turkish MOD;
- The US-led coalition conducted 36 operations against ISIS in Syria and Iraq in August. As a result, 7 ISIS militants were killed and 25 others were arrested, according to the CENTCOM.
