A brief overview of the recent developments in Iraq:
- The Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) 41st Brigade repelled an ISIS attack in the south of Samarra in Saladdin province;
- Security Media confirmed that 2 ISIS elements were eliminated in the airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in the southwest of the Daquq district;
- Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani supported the holding of early legislative elections in Iraq.
