Putting on parades and shows in the Far East while this is going on is utter madness. Something really needs to change in the Kremlin.

If the current troops are stretched out, would you rather lose Kharkov and create a domino effect to undo what has been achieved in many months just to be lost in matters of days?

Send 50 000 more troops, I don’t understand the hesitation to commit. Russia can definitely be on the offensive on multiple fronts simultaneously.

What’s stopping Russia from sending reinforcements to Ukraine?

rafik

Russia is losing the war soon. i believe Russia will strike back with lightening but . Russia will lose all the territory now and nazi infection will reach the border of Russia

My Russian family was from around Lvov. A hundred years ago Western Ukraine was Russian. My family ended up having to migrate thanks to Banderism and the loss of WWI. The Russian army wasn’t very good then either.

About a month ago an article was posted showing the RF removing land mines from the area. I made a comment how crazy it was to remove land mines, instead they should be placing land mines to defend themselves, that comment was of course removed. Just awful watching these disasters unfold.

The Russian artillery and air force must working and should be working around the clock …I should expect Russian to be able to launch artillery from it soil.hich should give them a grater advantages.

Seems they will be drawn in to another encirclement with the men and equipment. Will cost Ukronazis much more in equipment and men and is better in long run when they have less army to fight with. The southern attempt by Ukronazis to attack cost a massive amount of men and equipment. It is all cleaned up there and will go on counter offensive and just keep pounding them down.

The Russians do not have enough troops to conduct offensive operations. Obviously they don’t even have enough troops to conduct a competent defense. The front around Kharkiv collapsed, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Lugansk occupied again.

It is true the front collapsed but it looks is stable now. So, yes, if ukraine is unable to continue the offensive, now could be in serious trouble.

CuttySark

This is correct. Russia is outnumbered substantially but has been relying on firepower. An expeditionary sized force will be difficult to do major offensive ops. And a fast moving group of AFU men that substantially outnumber defenders, once broken through, can be problematic to get firepower and defenses organized in the right place. We’ll see what happens. If RF can get men and firepower in the right spot they can cause havoc on the AFU. But otherwise, RF is looking at the need for a general mobilization. If Putin successfully does that then it is likely lights out up to the Dniepro fairly quickly. (assuming RF would do fast driving offensive ops and accept the casualty numbers that come with these kind of ops.

Disinfo

Had the Russians expected the attack, perhaps you’d be right, but they don’t seem to even be able to withdraw as fast as the Ukrainians are advancing. Try to minimize Russian casualties has backfired and now they’ll see why they needed to go all in from the beginning……………the Ukranian leadership doesn’t care how many soldiers they lose.

helen

BS, the Russians can’t encircle them there, it isn’t a planned encirclement, they’ve taken prisoners and wounded, and they have NATO soldiers among them. The supply lines (highways) are under enemy fire! If they cut off the supply line to Izyum, the Allied Forces will be in dire position.

Disinfo

Russia is losing now, withdraw and regroup might be their only chance but it seems the Ukrainians are advancing faster that the Russians can retreat. I’d like to hope this is a Russian trap but since they weren’t ready for the offensive, I doubt it.

I just hope after all these failures the Russian people vote in better leadership in 2024.

If the ukies are trying for Kupyanks, and RU hold on in Balakleya, which I think they will now, looking at the map will be a good encirclement opportunity. Especially if RU pushed up to Chuguiv.

This never should have happened (I mean Balakleya). It leaves a mark of the temporary nature of what the Russian army has done so far. Who, the f**k is in charge of Russian units there.

Ukrops are advancing faster than comments are getting deleted.

Ok, theres only one possible take on this. Putin wants the ukrops to receive billions more than they were already receiving, in order to bankrupt the West, that was starting to have doubts. Thats the only possible explanation.

A military operation where you leave the rear guard unprotected, it’s brilliant.
