ukraine has lost a total of 602 tanks, 304 armored fighting vehicles and 682 infantry fighting vehicles, according to dutch open-source intelligence outlet oryx, which catalogs visually-confirmed losses. russia’s defense ministry said on tuesday that ukraine had lost 11,185 tanks and other armored combat vehicles since february 2022.

a reminder that the russians are advancing on this front with a relatively small force, and against the ukrainians who are apparently having a numerically advantage at this portion of the front. it comes down to training and lack of coordination by uaf and insufficient supply to counter the steady russian push. the loss of kupyansk would be a major pr blow for ukraine.
