A brief overview of the recent developments in Libya:
- Libyan National Army (LNA) head Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Government of National Accord (GNA) leader, Turkish and Russian delegation hold a series of talks in Moscow on the political settlement of the Libyan conflict. However, the GNA head allegedly rejected a face-to-face meeting with the LNA head;
- The LNA shot down a large quadcopter armed with mortar shells near Tripoli;
- The LNA took control of Bu Njem, al-Baghla and al-Lud near Abu Qareen;
- The Tripoli frontline remains calm. The ceasefire largerly works.
It was obvious rascal general Haftar rejected peace deal. Israel told UAE & Egypt not to make peace, because Israel has to protect gas pipeline deal to Europe via Southern Cyprus & Greece. On the other hand Russia & Turkey have to protect Northstream & Turkstream gas pipelines to Europe from Israel’s competitive gas pipeline project.
