Big political changes are taking place in Libya. Three days ago, the interim government of Libya, which sits in Benghazi and is supported by the army of General Khalifa Haftar, has submitted its resignation to the House of Representatives. Today:
- Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord Faiz Al-Sarraj announced his desire to resign and hand over the executive responsibilities to a new government no later than October this year;
- Turkish Foreign Ministry declared that the Russian and Turkish delegations came closer to reaching an agreement on a ceasefire in Libya at the talks in Ankara.
