A brief overview of the recent developments in northern Egypt:
- ISIS claimed IED attack against Egyptian military bulldozer near the town of Zoweid;
- ISIS issued a statement claiming to have targeted Egyptian Humvee and tanks with RPGs and IEDs near Rabiah checkpoint;
- ISIS claimed to have captured and executed an Egyptian officer along the coastal road near the city of Bir al-Abd;
- ISIS officially claimed that attack on Rabiah checkpoint, which was carried out on July 21, had killed 40 and wounded 60 soldiers and policemen and had included 2 SVBIED attacks.
