Helfaya will probably be captured soon .Allegedly there is ongoing attack . And now I expect the second round of infighting

Hrky75

Again frontal attack approach with enormous loss of life and equipment on the SAA side. Groups of NDF flocking in the plain sight of terrorist ATGM teams. Tanks parked in open fields being blown up. Behaving like total noobs after 6 years of war. And still no indication that SAA and Russians are going for a total salient elimination. Meanwhile “FSA” is taking over ISIL held Suwayda and getting close to Qaryatayn and Al Busayri crossroads making Palmyra-Der Ezzor advance all but impossible. Maybe I’m just more pessimistic then usual…

Trustin Judeau

FSA in East Qalamoun can surrender with few things additionally . It is possibility .But you are right about Hama . I dont know what the comman is planning . Now thw TF are the go allw way to South Idlib CS

Hrky75

FSA in East Qalamoun has direct supply link to Jordan and is openly controlled and coordinated by CIA. They’ll do all they can to pressure SAA flanks of Palmira axis. If Hama salient isn’t liquidated or at least put under control by taking Morek US will continue with yo-yo strategy – limited offensives on different parts of the front in western and central Syria, preventing SAA advance against retreating ISIL, while having Kurds take Raqqa and Der Ezzor effectively cutting Syria’s only land link with friendly countries (Iraq and Iran) and starting the process of partition – just like Israel wants.

Caleb Da Silva Abi-Ali

There will be no Partition. After the elimination of the wahhabi dogs will be the time to purge the kurdish us puppets no matter how long it takes. Those land are arab and assyrian. Not kurdish.

Thegr8rambino

agreeee with u buddy million percent

Thegr8rambino

they CANNOT let that happen

George Fotiadis

Totally agree, training and discipline is very low on Arab army’s, this is up to the culture of Arab society, officers are under-trained and corrupted and soldiers do not dare to bypass the command and take any form of initiative because they can not bypass the hierarchic system there, which is very strong. So it is, from antiquity. Its endemic and deep rooted and can not change.

Thegr8rambino

what can be done about it?

George Fotiadis

I dont know, i think that deep rooted culture can difficult to change, for example i served in the Greek army, there, you can be punished for not taking initiative, you have to follow orders, respect the command line, but you can use common sense and take any initiative you think is right by taking advance in a situation where you think you can grad the change, also, officers are expendadle like ayone else, if they die another man will take their position and the moral doesnt fall, the person does not matter, the military corp does, i mean the majority matters, that can finish the job, totally different mentality in a western army as the Greek one, Alexander the great punished his soldiers for not taking initiative also, in contrast the ancient Persian army had a similar mentality as modern arabs, so guess.

Thegr8rambino

yea you have a point, but i think they have now realized, or are beginning to understand, that in order to take their country back and not let it die, they need to be the best soldiers they can be!

DJ Double D

I’m afraid to say that, but you are right. I have been talking about this for a while now. Why are the Russian strategists can’t see this coming. It seems that they keep making things difficult for themselves. You see they must understand that the World is monitoring this war and would make conclusion based on what is happening in the war fields. They put their reputation on the line by coming to defend Syria Territorial integrity and they got to do it intelligently so when people look at the achievement, they have to make strategic sense.

Caleb Da Silva Abi-Ali

Bullshit defeatist rethoric. SAA is kicking ass. People like to cry but they are winning. They reversed a much worse situation. No need for this exagerated allarmism. There is no factual basis for you to say any of that. After all, what is your source? A handfull of propangandist videos of jihadis on youtube? Pffff… And the advance of the rebels on ISIS positions on Sweida and east Homs in no way makes the SAA advance on Deir Ezzour impossible. Enough with this nonsense exagerated internet crying. Save your breath and let the REAL job to the professionals… I bet myleft arm they know better than you internet commentators.

Ronald

We all certainly hope so !

Thegr8rambino

amen to that

Thegr8rambino

so what is ur solution to the poor training?

John Marks

Go for Morek and Kafr Zita and cut the jihadis off. Then cook them in their kettle.

Valery Grigoryev

Absolutely agree!

Thegr8rambino

but what is to the north of that?

hunter og

The late attacks from the jihadist is a direct order from the US so the Rassian and SAA can be busy with Hama while kurds and US take over Raqa it’s nice tactic asoon they finish Hama area and start resuming back tabqa Free Syrian and their jihadi allies will attack plymara, SAA is low of man power Instead transferring troops city to city they need to recruit new once and deploy them Unless Russia is bringing their special troops this cycle will never end

Ronald

The US wants Raqqa and Deir Azzor , they then own the eastern half of Syria , along with the oil fields . A large Russian deployment is called for . The Hama situation must be addressed , but it is purely diversionary , as you say .
