The Syrian army’s Tiger Forces and the National Defense Forces have liberated the village of al-Brije south of the ISIS stronghold of al-Bab. This move clearly shows that the Syrian military is going to develop a momentum south and southeast of al-Bab, cutting ISIS units in the area off from their allies in central Syria.
If it was me, I would go to Dayr Hafir and on to the Euphrates river instead.
Al-Bab is too close to fsa/erdoghan. Setup a stronger position farther south where all flanks are covered, then work ur way up.
They are following a plan in coordination with the Turks.
Doubtful.
Reality.
And CGA, EGA, MGA…
=P
They probably are. It is no coincidence their advance started after Astana talks.
SAA may just be adjusting their front line and hopefully stop short of Al Bab. Leaving that mess for Turkey and FSA to deal with. A stop line for them has probably been agreed to, if FSA stops running away from battle they may eventually take city! Look for more video of Turkish armor biting the dust. I think SAA offensive towards Dayr Hafir will launch in the near future.
Hope so, this operation has been in the planning for weeks, no point in wasting time/resources worrying about SAA left flank, imperative offensive Deir Hafir – JIRAH
By watching the map I’ve got another idea: passing by Al-Bab and reaching the Kurds area. The same strategic goal would be achieved: cutting ISIS from Turkey which would mean their isolation from the rest of the world. It would be a little hard because the main road (the highway) has been cut off by Turkish lead forces, they should find and use other small roads in order to reach the Kurds, but anyway there is that possibility too.
The good thing is that there is buffer zone around the eastern side of Aleppo. The bad things there is none on the western side
yes, the whole anadan plane sholde be talkene 1 year ago.
The ISIS attack on the khanaser allepo road is a obvious diversion to pull troops of SAA away from all baab
Likely correct. On the other hand, Aleppo should have freed up enough SAA and allied forces to do both jobs.
That’s true or were they sent to tyas airbase and deir ezzor and Wadi barada
SAA is overstretched and my opinion must turn south and make buffer around khanaser allepo road in order to insure supply lines are not cut
I agree that they are overstretched.
