The situation on frontlines around the Idlib de-escalation zone once again stabilized after a series of failed militant attacks on Syrian Arab Army (SAA) positions in northwestern Hama. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda), the National Front for Liberation and other Idlib groups seem to be unable to break the SAA defense and make notable gains there. At the same time, the SAA’s hands are tied because of agreements reached in the framework of the Astana format.
- The Afrin Forces of Liberation (AFL) revealed data on new attacks on Turkish targets in the Afrin region. Two militants were killed and four others were injured in an ATGM strike on July 4. Four Turkish-backed militants were killed and four others were injured in an IED ambush on July 5;
- The National Front for Liberation (NFL) targeted a group of SAA troops with an ATGM near Hawiz;
- Militants shelled SAA positions near Kafr Nabudah;
- A firefight was reported west of the al-Assad subrub of Aleppo city;
- Artillery duels between the SAA and militants were ongoing near Kbanah.
“A firefight was reported west off the al-Assad suburb of Aleppo city”.
This point of weakness for the city of Aleppo certainly might be a reason for the “Money” to hold back on restoring the city. Speaking of money, where are the Chinese ?
Seem that it is gonna be there soon.
It’s crystal clear that the Turks openly and secretly are assisting the militans / terrorists / mercenaries in Idlib. The Syrian army should give an ultimatum to the Turks to withdraw all their forces out of the Syrian borders, and make it a casus belli type ultimatum.
And the Russians must manup and decide who is their friend, is it the president of the country that invited them there in Syria or is it the president of the country that shot down their jet !
It looks like $$$$ is right now a top priority for Russia. Therefore, Turkey must be pleased on Idlib. Syria ? well, Russia will help with some bombing in few conflict zones at Idlib.
check out the new Breaking News i posted…..big Major attack by terrrorists on SAA with direct help from TAF!!!
