The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have been further isolating the ISIS stronghold of Raqqah. SDF units havecaptured two main roads east and west of Raqqah and continued their advane aiming to reach its vicinity from the northern and western directions. The only road from Raqqah under the control of ISIS is the road to the south.

GLAD TO SEE IT ! Total road isolation now, the path to the Baath dam is blocked. Now is time to take out Daesh boats and ferries on the river.
On top of that, they should at the least block the Baath dam. As it is now, IS can still use it to either evacuate or reinforce Raqqah. Or does the SDF think IS will use the dam to evacuate, thereby lessening the fight for Taqqah?
