krusty’s buffer zone? 35km wide at the mouth of the salient on a >1000km frontier. forces diverted to relieve pressure on donbas line? none whatsoever. the kursk operation is going about as well as the ato for the armed forces of the failed ukrainian cia project. great success!

but they captured sudzha a town of 5000 inhabitants on the 15th of august with only 30k casualties and counting. this military victory will be a new national holiday in the corrupt maffia state of ukraine🏴‍☠️

relative to the possible goals, there was one “success” – north korea joined the war. it will give pretext for the next escalation from the west. my assumption is they tried to get russia to react in such a way that will allow more direct, greater involvement of nato.

but all together: it is a complete insanity from the perspective of military logic. as a political and propaganda scheme – it can make sense

Clyde

sure they did. thanks for derping.

ukraine is finished as a viable state. the needs of the fews pertaining to the tiny gaza strip and the west bank illegal settlers out weighted the needs of the once great ukraine, it’s 40+ million souls, it’s agricultural might and their untapped, vast, rare earth mineral deposits. this is the worst travesty in the history of us national interest. a vote for kamila the puppet jarris is a vote 4 the same old, treasonous, israel-first blenkin-austein-zorros cabal.

” ukrainian forces repelled russian attacks near novaya sorochina; ”

how that even possible. i thought the kursk “pocket” was depleted full of destroyed ukie equipment and demoralized, barely surviving troops. russia cant push back an incursion into its own territory ?

are you saying that the russians have not pushed back the ukrainians in the kursk salient? so the ukrainians currently hold the maximum territory that they have since the start of the operation? the russians have rolled up a vast amount of ukrainian territory, and continue to push the ukrainians out of more every single day in donbas. given that catastrophe for the ukrainians, is your question serious?

Hasso von Halstenberg

@pissant

…you are quite right in thinking that the ukros are devastated. but what should they do? many blindly continue to do what they are ordered, some simply surrender and thereby save their lives!

this is very reminiscent of the last days of the german empire, the defectors ultimately survived, the obedient ones fell for “führer volk und vaterland”

the russ are sure struggling on their home territory having to fight back the ukr. mr put order to generals target end of oct 2024 to clear kursk of foreign troops and target not met once again. what a joke.

the joke is that at allit is not necessary to expel the ukros from kursk. whatever the generals may have decided, it is much more efficient to rub up the ukros in kursk. on all other fronts, things are going really well for the first time for rf, for this the russians should thank zelensky, with his ingenious ” victory plan” , which has met with cross-border rejection in the west

morons here joking about russia dont push ukros out of kursk since months, dont understand anything, because thats the best what could happen for russia. ukros weakened the donbass front moving some 10 brigades to kursk, where they loose hundrets of soldiers each day, while rus troops push the donbas front westwards every day. but, the rus mod should stop telling fantasy ukro losses, because the loss numbers they promote are higher than all ukro troops and armament that ever entered kursk.

the interesting question is what will happen if trump is elected. how can “the war end in a day” when it is no longer in russia’s interests to end it at all? on the other hand, i think trump said that he would have finished – in the past tense. today, the situation is already different from then.
