When SF/MOD report “clashes”, it means neither side is moving which in the case of the overall Russian offensive means they have been stopped.
There hasn’t been an offensive in the south since the opening days. The Ukrainians are the ones attempting an offensive. Even with numerical superiority vastly outnumbered the Russian defenses, they are actually being pushed back in many areas. Gains already reversed in key regions. Kiev is heavily reinforcing one area specifically in hopes of a breakthrough. Even attempting multiple river landings to distraction Russsian forces with disastrous consequences. The clashes are clashes. Not stalemate or stoppages.
