i have seen news about major breakthrough from ukraine army. is this true or just propaganda? can someone explain?
the breakthrough was in the underwear department. you just have to use common sense, look at livemapua. essentially the press is lying, everything is a breakthrough to them. appears the ukrainians are on the verge of mutiny and all they can do is bombard a place and send small teams in to capture the resulting bomb craters. where ukrainians were once riding afvs to the front, they are now using ordinary vans and cars. the russians maintain defence in depth, so each line has two lines behind it.
they didn’t break through. they reach the most outer reaches of verbose. this town had some dragon teeth around it and trenches and ukraine is claiming it is the main part of the defense lines, lines which actually lie further south. they have been repelled by the way also after heavy artillery fire.
you should see it as small scale legoland.

its better to stop using nato media and to use a vpn with another country location. indian news is more accurate, along with sputnik news and rt.com. not forgetting south front of course.
i don’t use russian sources. stopped using them a while ago. i have several contacts in ukriane russia and europe i rely on in addition to my academic colleagues whose i regular converse with who have contacts in government. there are a fee blogs i can recommend though that are fairly accurate.
