A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria and Iraq:
- 3 US-led coalition personnel were killed in a rocket strike on Camp Taji;
- ‘Unidentified aircraft’ bombed supposed positions of Iranian-backed forces near al-Bukamal;
- Turkey released a third video supposedly showing the destruction of a Russian-made Pantsir system in Greater Idlib;
- The SDF claimed that 3 Turkish soldiers were killed in clashes in northeastern Syria last week;
- US forces deployed additional howitzers to their positions in northeastern Syria;
- A Russian service member and 2 civilians died in a road accident near Barmaia;
- A fighting among Turkish-backed groups erupted in Azaz.
What? No ‘DAESH’ attacks? Thought they were supposed to be ‘re-grouping and getting stronger’?!!
Some remnants are still there in Iraq and largely in Syria
