A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- Several people were killed or injured in a car bomb explosion in Afrin town;
- The Syrian Army and the National Defense Forces launched a security operation in the area between al-Sukhnah Mountains and the gas fields of Shaer and Jazal;
- A commander of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham security forces in western Aleppo was killed on the road between al-Atarib and al-Sahharah;
- ISIS cells assassinated two high-ranking officers of the Syrian Army near the town of al-Hrak;
- Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham’s Salvation Government postponed its plan to open a crossing with the government-controlled area;
- The Russian Military Police incresed presence near al-Qamishly city;
- Locals blocked a US military convoy in the Tell Hamis district.
