Remember when Obama said that Syria would be Russia’s Vietnam?

Ronald

Imagine your referring to the US-Turkish “Peace Corridor”.

Pave Way IV

Nope. Obama was pissed when the U.S. State Department-manufactured (or at least ‘strongly encouraged’) Arab Spring went to hell in Syria and the head-choppers emerged. Russia started direct support for Assad’s fight against the head-choppers in 2015, further pissing off Obama. He said Syria would be a quagmire for Russia. I think he was pouting and stomping his feet at the time. Neocons were running around D.C. with their hair on fire, shrieking about Putin. Hillary was still gorging herself on fresh infant organs at the time and couldn’t say much – but she certainly looked pissed off.

Paul

Lol

Ronald

We have all heard how Obama was part of the “LGBT community”, so love your “he was pouting and stomping his feet”, Hillary couldn’t say ! I was referring to Trump, instead of leaving Syria, now has this “Peace Corridor” to jointly patrol with Turkey.

Three Vietnam’s – Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Syria.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Read what official US statements say, nothing’s agreed on yet and some things have already been denied. So there’s no way Erdogan will get his 32 mile corridor as he wants, or get to kick the Kurds out of their own homelands, the only thing official US statements confirm so far are these 2 points, a coordinated joint operations headquarters [unspecified where], and the US has agreed to address Turkey’s security concerns, whatever that really means, but the peace corridor is still a matter of contention and still under negotiation.

Russia did not invade Syria, the US and EUroscum did , including head choppers paid by Israel s arabia, and US Euroscum Your analogy is out of place. Now then, Afghanistan is the US 2nd Vietnam, YEMEN is S Arabia´s Vietnam , already is for UAE, which is now removing their troops form there, back to topic Russia is not invading anyone correct ? Try harder next time you want to discredit Russia´s role in Syria. You first wrote ” Obama said Russia´s Vietnam ” and now you reply to your own comment you wrote : Obama said ” Russia´s quagmire “, contradicting yourself ?

Pave Way IV

1, It wasn’t an analogy – it was sarcasm. Russia has handled the complex situation in Syria masterfully so far – and at great cost to them.

2. Obama said both many times – Google it.

“…The president made it look like he was at odds with Putin for much of his two terms—for instance, loudly poo-pooing the Russian campaign in Syria and warning of Vietnam-style “quagmires,” dismissing Russia as a weak country, sending an LGBT delegation to the Sochi Olympics to underscore his differences with Russia’s treatment of the LGBT community…”

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Wow, the same day the Syrian jet is downed not one Russian aircraft was participating in any airstrikes over Idlib and Hama, what a lucky coincidence hey. WTF is going on you arseholes, did Erdogan demand Putin’s cooperation in this treachery, how is that not one Russian aircraft was in the skies above Hama and Idlib on this particular day, I smell a rat, a really stinking diseased dead rat. Did Erdogan warn Putin to keep his pilots out of the area on the 15th, and did Putin fail to warn Assad it was going to happen, I might sound a little paranoid but WTF just happened. I’m imagining Erdogan’s been pretty annoyed with all the SAA advances recently, and now it’s looking like he’s about to lose that OB post at Murak I imagine he’s becoming very desperate, so I think he asked a big favour of Putin, and then used that favour to punish Assad with this attack on the Syrian aircraft. This is the second time this week there were no Russian aircraft flying over Idlib or Hama, did the rebels fail the first time and this was a second attempt. And please no one call me a troll, I’m not, I just have a healthy scepticism of people who have too much power, Putin and Erdogan for example. If you want to argue with my assertions please provide facts, explain to me why there were no Russian aircraft flying over this area on 2 separate days, and just by coincidence the second time they weren’t flying a Syrian plane was downed. Conspiracy or just my delusions, I’m not sure but I’d like some answers, I hope SF helps explain why these 2 events aren’t linked and I’m just imagining things.
