AMN: “At approximately 9:00 A.M. (Damascus Time) this morning, the Syrian
Arab Army (SAA) kicked off their major assault to besiege the Islamic
State (ISIL) forces inside central Syria.
Led by their Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies
stormed the mountains that are located just north of the strategic
Taybah area…..” Fine, if they could down ISIS in the next 36 hours the SAA will reach Soukhna by tomorrow night and then the pocket is closed.
THIS is accurate and the whole plan… Link the northern forces with those operating from the south and close the massive pocket to the west… That will rip apart the entire USIS front and open the door for a push into Deir Ez-Zor..

I can’t see any mountains north of Al-Taybah till you get to Al-Kawm. South of Al-Taybah on the road to Sukhnah is a massive mountain (Jabal ad Dahik?). It will be vital for these heights to be seized to seal the pocket.
