A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- Syrian Arab Army (SAA) artillery shelled Turkish-backed militants’ positions in the villages of Fatirah and Barah;
- Military convoy of the SAA’s 5th Corps arrived in the city of Deir Ezzor;
- Turkey has been cutting off water supply to Hasakah for three weeks. Syrian government agencies are taking measures to provide water to the population;
- The Russian Ministry of Defense called on Turkey to stop the criminal activities of its militants in Syria, as their clashes lead to civilian deaths;
- On August 21, warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a series of airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in the deserts of Homs and al-Suwayda.
