A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) reportedly shelled Duwayr Al Akrad;
- On August 5, Syria’s General Command of the Army and Armed Forces announced that militant groups in the Idlib de-escalation refused to abide the ceasefire and vowed to respond to violations;
- Syrian Air Force strikes were reported near Khan Shaykhun;
- A Turkish soldier and two Turkish-backed militants were reportedly killed in a grenade attack on a police checkpoint on the road between Afrin and Jandariis;
- Militants shelled Buraydij with Grad rockets;
- SAA artillery strikes hit militant positions near Kafr Zita.
