A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- The Syrian Air Defense intercepted several Israeli missiles in the Damascus countryside;
- ISIS claimed its forces had killed 2 Russian servicemen near Nawa. No visual evidence was provided;
- Government forces liberated over 10 villages and towns in southern Idlib, including al-Tah;
- Security forces detained a car bomb on a road between the towns of Saida and al-Ghariyah;
- A suspected U.S. drone strike killed prominent commander of al-Qaeda-affiliated Horas al-Din – Abu Khadija al-Urduniyi – on the road between Termanin and Dana.
Is it me or does it appear that Daesh are now getting stronger in Syria and for some reason the SAA and SDF are completely powerless to stop them?
Fortunately, it’s only you Ed.
Must be paranoid then!
You obviously read Zero Hedge and other Yanker news outlets. By the way, those stories were regards Iraq, not Syria.
On your bike.
Well, firstly, I don’t read Zero Hedge! Secondly, I was just referring to the info that is displayed on https://isis.liveuamap.com and other twitter accounts that I follow that report on frequent attacks in Syria which are not always mentioned here. So I just put ‘two and two together’. And yes, there was a big thing made in the Media recently about how Daesh are reforming in Iraq and attacks are becoming more frequent but then I seem to read an article in the media everyday about how Daesh are getting stronger etc etc, are plotting to kill us all etc etc and we should all fear for our lives etc etc. Maybe it’s scaremongering crap but who knows.
