A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- Syrian Army strikes hit militant positions near the Turkish observation post in Alsurman;
- The SDF and the US-led coalition arrested an ISIS-linked smuggler in Dashisha;
- The Afrin Liberation Forces shelled a Turkish base near the town of Gobele. A howitzer is reportedly destroyed;
- A Pantsir-S1 short-range air-defense system was spotted near Ayn Issa;
- Two people were killed and at least six others were injured in a car bomb attack in Ras al-Ayn on December 4;
- Clashes between the Syrian Army and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham are reported near Umm al-Tinah.
