It baffles me why the area south of Ithriya and north of Palmyra haven’t been cleared. Its been in Daesh control for a very long time and would provide an additional supply route to Ithriya. Taking it after recapturing Palmyra would be good, if Deir Er Zour situation does’t change. SAA need to be effective with Daesh now that they are facing a lot of pressure form multiple forces, but then again, you have to be weary of Al-qaeda and co in Idlib, Daraa.
