A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- The Syrian Army liberated Saraqib after encircling the town and nearby Turkish military positions;
- The Russian Foreign Ministry reported that Russian and Turkish personnel were killed in ‘militant attacks’ in the Idlib zone in January;
- The Israeli Air Force carried out strikes on the Al-Kiswa area, Marj al-Sultan, Baghdad Bridge near Damascus and the area south of Izraa in the province of Daraa;
- The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) allegedly arrested 3 women in the al-Hawl camp, where families of ISIS fighters reside;
- The Turkish Foreign Ministry threatened ‘the Assad regime’ with a ‘firm answer’ to Idlib ‘violations’ following Erdogan threats to declare war on Syria.
