A brief overview of the recent development in Syria:
- The Syrian Army resumed offensive operations in southern Idlib. Barsah, Nouhiya and Abu Jairf were liberated;
- Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham shelled positions of ‘Iranian forces’ near the Artillery Academy in western Aleppo;
- A woman and her two children were severely burned on January 15 when ISIS wives set fire to several tents in the al-Hawl Camp;
- A large Russian military convoy arrived in Qamishli;
- A BRDM-2 combat reconnaissance, patrol vehicle and a mini truck belonging to the army were destroyed and several army troops were killed in an ISIS attack in southern Deir Ezzor.
