I don’t understand how ISIS can still exist in those pockets surrounded by the SAA? Have they bunkered down with supplies so they can launch random attacks? Is it a regrouping point for those that infiltrate the border from Al-Tanf?
if they have (U.S.) regular supply of food and water they can stay there forever or till SAA kills them… If they are dig under ground, hidden… it will take plenty of soldiers to find them and kill them….
Maybe some smugglers supply them from at-tanf
And I think the pocket is not completely closed, there may be some small areas, where no troops are deployed and some locals could use them to smuggle supplies from at tanf with advise from the US which positions are abandoned, to isis.
