- On January 2, Russia reported that Idlib militants violated the ceasefire regime in Greater Idlib 8 times: 3 – in Idlib province, 5 – in Latakia province;
- On January 2, Israeli warplanes struck SAA positions in Damascus Airport. Two SAA servicemen were killed and two others were wounded;
- On January 2, a number of As-Suwayda residents gathered in Al-Karama Square in the city center demanding the improvement of living and service conditions, the release of detainees and implementation of the Security Council Resolution 2254;
- On January 2, artillery of Turkish-backed forces shelled SAA positions in Dadikh;
