A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- On January 27, Russia reported that Idlib militants violated the ceasefire regime in Greater Idlib 24 times: 7 – in Idlib province, 9 – in Latakia province, 3 – in Hama province, 5 – in Aleppo province;
- On January 27, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) dispersed using live fire a demonstration in Hasakah. Protesters demanded an end of the siege of the government-controlled part of the city;
- On January 27, Syrian Arab Army (SAA) artillery shelled positions of Turkish-backed forces in the village of Kansafra;
- On January 27, 12 ISIS members were killed during clashes with the SAA in the eastern Homs desert, according to Syrian officials.
