A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- The Syrian Army shelled militants’ positions near Maaret al-Numan and Saraqeb, Deir al-Sharqi, Deir al-Gharbi, Maasran, Ahsam, Hantoutin, Maarshmarin and Kafrouma;
- Anew group of Syrian Army troops with military equipment deployed in western Aleppo. Pro-government sources link this with an expected ground offensive;
- ISIS reportedly ambushed two buses with army troops near Sabikhan. Reports suggest that over a dozen army troops were killed or injured;
- Turkish-backed forces shelled Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) positions southwest of Tell Abyad.
