A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- Hayat Tahrir al-Sham claimed its special forces had carried out raid against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in Qasabiyeh. This claim is denounced by local sources;
- Mashhour Zaydan, a Syrian commander affiliated with Hezbollah, was killed in the recent strike on western Damascus;
- Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on July 24 that Ankara is not satisfied with the recent U.S. proposals on the establishment of a safe zone in northeastern Syria;
- The SAA uncovered a large weapons cache containing more than 2,000 mortar shells of different calibers in the al-Rahba citadel;
- At least two children were killed in a militant rocket attack on Aleppo city;
- An IED explosion targeted a car belonging to the SDF in Jarniya.
