A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- The head of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) military security detachment, who was close to Hezbollah, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the town of Sahm Al-Golan;
- Militant artillery shelled SAA positions in southern Idlib;
- SAA artillery shelled militant positions in the villages of Fatirah and Barah;
- SAA artillery shelled militant positions in the Kabani area;
- Turkish-backed militants shelled SDF positions near the town of Tal Tamar in western al-Hasakah Governorate;
- Military convoy of US-led coalition entered the city of Hasakah;
- US imposed sanctions on Hafez al Assad, 18-years-old son of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, SAA First Division unit, a Syrian businessman and nine entities.
