A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- An IED destroyed a vehicle of government forces west of al-Bukamal;
- Up to 500 people, including hundreds ISIS fighters, left the Baghuz pocket and surrendered to the SDF;
- The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), backed up by the US-led coalition, is clashing with ISIS in the Baghuz pocket;
- At least 2 SDF members were reportedly assasinated by ISIS cells in the Shaddadi area;
- According to reports, sporadic clashes between the YPG and Turkish-backed militants appear near Tell Rifaat on a constant basis;
- The ceasefire regime is in fact not observed in eastern Idlib and northern Hama.
Any chance to remove those ISIS pigs from desert in near future SAA?!
I also don’t understand, why they don’t clear this pocket and eliminate the last remnants of ISIS in the desert formally controlled by the government.
Agree “formally controlled” This is not Idlib…At least this time we know who is responsible for not doing anything.
They are hiding among civilians so we cannot bomb them. We have to go house to house which takes time.
