A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- Russian airstrikes hit militant positions near Maarzita, Fatterah, Kafr Sijnah, Kafr Nabl, Sheikh Dames and Ameriyeh. 13 militants were reportedly eliminated;
- A 100-vehicle long US convoy left Syria through the Simalka crossing with Iraq;
- US forces are not planning to withdraw from the Omar oil fields area, according to MSM;
- Turkish-backed forces are massing near Tell Rifaat;
- Turkish-backed forces have secure their gains in Ras al-Ayn. The town is under their full control;
- US troops withdrawn from northern Syria will reportedly remain in western Iraq.
This decision to put the troops in iraq really pissed me off, Iraqi govt needs to let US know they are not welcome and will not be allowed to stay and must go home!
Does anyone think a flashpoint, the Golan Heights will now be addressed? Has Assad stated his intentions on the matter of evicting the IDF?
