This map provides a general look at the military situation in Syria on October 24, 2018.
- Syrian gvernment forces are pressuring the remaining ISIS members in the al-Safa area in the desert area on the administrative border of al-Suwayda province;
- Pro-Kurdish sources revealed that US-led coalition forces clashed with Turkish-backed militants west of Manbij on October 15;
- The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are still working to eliminate the ISIS-held pocket of Hajin in the Euphrates Valley;
- In the Idlib demilitarized zone the situation is still tense because militant groups continue violating the terms of the agreement. The most important is that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) and its allies still keep their heavy weapons and members in the agreed demilitarized zone.
I just wonder ….will those black pocket (ISIS) disappear this year or maybe next year ? I think, Syria must be hurry to recover its country and to stop making political deals with terrorists or their supporters (USA-ISrael-Turkey-SDF-ISIS-Daesh-Nustra).
