Funny thing, I didn’t even read the MOD report, I haven’t looked at one of these goofy reports with any real seriousness for months, they are ridiculous (precision strike, precision strike, precision strike). Literally they brag about taking a factory or a train station which they fight over for days in some cases months. I find it hard to believe this is the second most powerful army in the world. How frightening for the Russian people and yet Putin keeps acting like he doesn’t need to use nukes. Clearly Russia needs to use nukes just as much as the USA needed to use nukes against Japan in WWII.

The info is legit, it was on the report of the Russia’s MoD on Tuesday: It says that Russian forces have destroyed a large amount of munitions for American-made weapon systems after striking a depot in central Ukraine, the ministry claimed that the strike was carried out near the village of Uman in Ukraine’s Cherkasy Region via long-range high-precision sea-based weapons and destroyed over 300 rockets for HIMARS multiple rocket launch systems. A large amount of ammunition for American M777 howitzers was also taken out.
The Crimean attack is on all the domestic Russian news.

Mishandled munitions. This is a commonality in many states across the world. They happen in the US and among other NATO members. It isn’t a Russian Phenomenon as many would like to claim. In fact, during active military operations, the risks generally increase. Bases used by NATO reported many explosions and fires over the decades due to mishandled munitions. Likewise, Russia also has similar issues. Taken into consideration that many bases in Russia store old munitions that should be replaced and disarmed, accidents like this happen a little more frequently. Honestly, sometimes human error is just a part of life. Someone drops something, didn’t fasten tight enough, or decided to take a smoke break at the wrong place and time leads to tragedy.

It is hard for the relatively small Russian army to conduct an offensive. Over the years of Putin’s “reforms” the army has been made smaller and less capable of conducting any offensive action. It was part of his outreach the European “partners”.
