The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Hezbollah liberated Qarneh Sho’sbah al-Hassah and Qob’a Ismail in western Qalamoun during the fifth day of the operation at the Syrian-Lebanese border.
The fifth day gains were lesser than the area captured during the fourth day because the SAA and Hezbollah were focused on securing the previous gains. During the fourth day of operations, government forces liberated the area of 50 km.
In Lebanon, the people of Tyre and Sa’ad Nail mourned the two fighters, Abbas Ja’afar and Waleed Fareej, that died during the Lebanon Army recent advances in the Alqa’a and Ra’s Ba’albak.
