Don’t be fooled by size of the green Saudi-led area. About 85% of Yemen’s 20 million population lives in the purple Ansar Allah-controlled area. So embargoing fuel to ‘the north’ through Hodeidah affects most Yemenis – part of the U.S.’s failing Obedience Through Maximum Civilian Misery strategy. Fuel, medicine and other weaponized international aid for the south, through Aden, only benefits a fraction of the population.
