The Ukrainian military has recently claimed another media victory. Ukrainian servicemen manged to damage Russian Su-24M aircraft belonging to the Wagner PMC.
The Ukrainian media claimed that Ukrainian forces shot down the Su-24M on board of which head of the WAgner PMC Evgeny Prigozhin has recently addressed Ukrainian President Zelensky. LINK
“Vladimir Alexandrovich (Zelensky), we landed, bombed Bakhmut. Tomorrow I will get into the MIG-29. If you wish, let’s meet in the sky. If you win, take Artemovsk (Bakhmut). If not, we will go to the Dnieper river,” Prigozhin said on board.
The Wagner Group confirmed the incident w hich toop place near Bakhmut. This was the same aircraft. However, it was not destroyed by Ukrainian troops, but only damaged. As a result of the strike, a fire broke out in the left engine.
The Wagner pilots managed to land the aircraft, and extinguished fire on the ground.
“The aircraft was attacked from the ground by enemy air defenses. The pilot performed a miracle, landed the burning aircraft, fully completing the combat mission. At the moment, technicians are engaged in repairing the aircraft. The pilot is handsome. Honor and praise to him,” said the head of the Wagner PMC.
While the Ukrainian military is celebrating another fake victory, Zelensky is yet to respond to the Prigozhin’s challenge.
