At least 15 Iran-backed fighters were killed and some 20 other people were wounded early on September 29 when a series of strikes hit the government-held part of the eastern Syrian governorate of Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.

“The strikes targeted a compound of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia in the village of al-Hari, and two weapons depots in the village of al-Hizam. The airstrikes also targeted another depot in the village of al-Suwayyah.” the London-based pro-opposition monitoring group said in a report.

The strikes also hit the military headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the Harabesh neighborhood, the Development Foundation on Port Said Street in the al-Ummal neighborhood, and a military radar in Mount Harabesh in and near the city of Deir Ezzor, the group added, without elaborating on who carried out the strikes.

The SOHR, which says it relies on a network of sources on the ground, has been accused of inflating casualty numbers or even inventing them wholesale in the past.

Lebanon’s Al-Mayadeen TV, which is close to the Iran-led Axis of Resistance, said that the strikes were carried out by the United States in response to an attack that targeted the American base at the Conoco gas plant in Deir Ezzor a few hours earlier. Nevertheless, the Beirut-based news channel didn’t report any casualties.

While the strikes were unofficially blamed on the U.S., it is very possible that they were in fact carried out by Israel in response to recent attacks by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI), an umbrella group of Iran-backed armed factions that operates in both Iraq and Syria.

The IRI stepped up missile and drone attacks against Israel in the last few days in response to the war on the Gaza Strip and the escalation against Lebanon. The group scored several hits, including on an Air Base in the Jordan Valley and on the Red Sea port of Eilat.

give the syrian army and hezbollah some good sam:s so that they don’t have to fight with one arm tied behind their back. once the jews air dominance is broken they will be victims once again, but now for real! and then they will flee like the cowardly scum they are.

The Objective

hezbollah has missiles that can reach any part of israel. it was never iran’s designs for hezbollah to fight israel. it hoped to arm hezbollah into deterring any israel attacks. that didn’t work. iran won’t allow hezbollah to use the most deadly missiles on israel for fear of israeli air attacks on iran as warned by netanyahu at the u.n. assembly. if iran permits hezbollah to take out israel’s airports, there’ll be no need for sams. but that would ignite a war that draws in the americans.

lebanon should be free of terrorists from hizz bolla. nice if idf could help lebanon with that.

The Objective

iran threatened to deploy troops to lebanon, another of its empty threats. thank allah the lebanese military isn’t taking part in this fight. it announced that no lebanese civilian must get involved in the fight. in fact, i suspect that the lebanese government wants hezbollah gone so it can re-establish government sovereignity over lebanon and retain monopoly on the use of force. i hope hezbollah is eliminated.
