The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has revealed the losses the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) sustained during the recent battle in northern Raqqa.
According to the London-based monitoring group, at least 13 militants of the SNA were killed, while the SDF lost six fighters only. Many other fighters from both sides were reportedly injured.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), which supported the SDF during the battle, sustained no losses what so ever. Army units were mainly providing fire support.
The battle began in the morning of November 23, when Turkish-backed militants launched a large-scale attack on the town of Ain Issa. The militants managed to advance in the first few hours capturing the villages of Saida, al-Mu’alk and the town’s refugee camp.
The SDF launched a counter-attack in the evening and managed to recapture all positions from the SNA by the morning of November 24.
The attack posed a serious threat to Ain Issa, which is hosting a coordination and operations center of Russian forces. The nearby M4 highway, which links al-Hasakah, Raqqa and Aleppo, was also threatened.
Actual dead scum figures are much higher than what is reported by takfiri l.a scum sohr
As far as I know the town in on the M4 highway, so it is included in peace corridor. Whole purpose of the peace corridor distance 30 km or 20 miles is to prevent Kurdish communist guerilla use the highway. Russians know that very well from the agreement, so does the Syrians. Fakery of the news is that Syrians fighting along Kurdish communists to prevent the peace corridor, this is ridiculous. Another fakery is that Turkish army is there fighting with Syrian army. Actually Turks only gives artillery & air support. There is no so-called Turkish invasion.
A good description of realities on the ground. From the very beginning of the Russian Turkey agreements and Syria provides for the disruption and eliminating (annihilation) of criminal gangs that are a threat to Syria and Turkey. Turkey does not need nor want either the PKK or other name of the day moderate gangs to return to inside Turkey or remain in Syria so both Syrian SAA and Turkey are standing back from a distance and using artillery and air power to pound both groups in (not publicly declared) killing field.
Both turks and mountain turks (aka kurds) need to leave Syria, its arab land.
Good old Baas party comrade Saddam, you know the map of your country & Syria are not based on ethnicity, but just dividing Ottoman lands to colonise, by French & British greeds.
Turks have to eave Small Asia as well and return back to Turkmenistan. the land, they call Turkey, belongs to Persians and to Greeks, cca. 50:50.
Greeks & Persians? Then they should have leaved the land to Troy kingdom & Hittites.
