On November 29 morning, at least 31 people were killed in a suicide attack that rocked the central Afghan province of Ghazni.
Wahidullah Jumazada, governor of Ghazni, said a suicide attacker blew up his booby-trapped vehicle next to a public protection unit in PD3 of Ghazni’s city center. The vehicle was a Humvee, according to security sources.
According to TOLO News, 31 people were killed and 24 others were injured in the suicide attack. Most of the victims were security personnel.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, yet. ISIS, which is infamous for carrying out such terrorist attacks, remains the main suspect.
Last week, ISIS cells launched a barrage of rockets at the Afghan capital, Kabul. Eight people were killed and 31 others were injured in the attack. The group claimed that the attack targeted the “Green Zone,” where the headquarters of the Afghan military and a number of embassies are located.
Despite the U.S.-sponsored peace talks between the Afghan government and the Talban, the threat of terrorism is still growing in Afghanistan. Appropriate security measures are now needed as much as before.
