More than 600 ISIS terrorists killed in 3 weeks in Syria

According to Alalam news agency of Iran, in last three weeks 600 ISIS terrorist were killed and thousands wounded in the Syrian government forces’ operations across the country.

The news agency also said that most of terrorist deaths were caused by the Syrian army assault and the Russian Aerospace Defense Forces bombing in Eastern Aleppo (Kuweires Airbase), Southern Aleppo (Khanasser), Eastern Homs (Palmyra and Quaryatayn) and Deir Ezzur city.

It is also reported that ISIS terrorists lost 3,000 square kilometers in the last three weeks.

44,992 terrorists were killed in clashes with the Syrian Army and its allies during nearly five years of war in the country, an opposition groups report said.

“Nearly 45,000 members of the ISIS, al-Nusra Front, Ajnad al-Sham, Jund al-Aqsa, al-Hizb al-Turkistani, Janoud al-Sham al-Shishan and Kata’ebat al-Khadhra have thus far been killed in battles with the Syrian government forces across Syria,” the sources said.

However, several analysts considers that more ISIS terrorists were killed which were not registered by that report.

For nearly five years, Syria has been observing a deadly conflict it blames on certain foreign states.  At least 470,000 people have been killed and millions have been displaced in the Arab country, according to a February report by the Syrian Center for Policy Research. The conflict has also taken a heavy toll on the country’s infrastructure.

Nevertheless, the Arab country is currently observing an agreement for the cessation of hostilities which entered into force on February 27. The agreement stipulates the cessation of all military hostilities in Syria, except for the operations against ISIS terrorist group and al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front militants.

The agreement was negotiated by Russia and the United States. Many suggest that Washington is among the main supporters of terrorists fighting against the Syrian government forces.
