More Ukrainian Attacks End In Failure (Videos)

Kiev forces attempted to attack the Russian regions of Bryansk and Kursk with suicide drones on August 27, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“At night and in the morning, the Kiev regime made another attempt at terrorist attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation using drones. Two unmanned aerial vehicles were detected and destroyed in flight by air defense forces over the territory of the Bryansk and Kursk regions,” the statement said.

Kurk governor Roman Starovoit said on his Telegram channel that an apartment building was damaged as a result of the attack.

“According to preliminary information, a drone crashed into an apartment building on Karl Marx Street in Kursk overnight. Windows were smashed on some floors. A shockwave also damaged some windows of the engineering department building of Kursk State Agrarian University on Karl Marx Street. Nothing was set alight and none of the residents were hurt,” the governor said.

The failed drone attack was likely carried out to distract public attention from the recent losses of Kiev forces in different directions within the special military operation zone.

A spokesman for the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces told TASS on August 27 that the group had repelled seven Ukrainian attacks in the direction of Krasny Liman.

“In the areas of the Torsky ledge and the Serebryansky forestry of the Krasny Liman direction, the assault detachments of the 42nd and 63rd mechanized brigades, as well as the Azov special forces brigades of the Ukrainian armed forces made seven attempts to attack the positions of the Russian troops. Professional actions by units of the battlegroup Center, with the support of strikes, aviation and artillery fire inflicted fire damage on the enemy,” the spokesman, Alexander Savchuk, said.

According to Savchuk, the losses of Kiev forces amounted to 80 troops, one infantry fighting vehicle, three armored vehicles and a pickup truck.

“In the course of the counter-battery fight, about 30 artillery positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were opened and suppressed, a 122-mm mortar with a crew was destroyed,” the spokesman concluded.

On the same day, Yaroslav Yakimkin, a spokesman for the Russian Zapad of Forces, announced that four attacks by Kiev forces were repelled in the Kupyansk direction.

“In the Kupyansk area, assault units of the battlegroup West performed offensive operations, seizing two strongpoints and killing about 30 enemy servicemen. At the same time, four counter attacks were beaten back, each made by forces up to a platoon and supported by armored vehicles from the 14th, 43rd, 44th, 67th and 115th separate mechanized brigades and the 68th separate Jaeger Brigade,” the spokesman said in a video released by the Russian MoD.

Yakimkin said that Kiev forces lost three platoons, two tanks, one mortar and two Kozak armored vehicles during the fighting.

Meanwhile in the Zaporozhye direction, Kiev forces continue to suffer losses as a result of intense Russian air and artillery strikes. Several tanks, armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles were destroyed near Rabotino, where a fierce battle is taking place.

With week twelve of the Ukrainian counteroffensive nearing its end, Kiev forces are yet to break through Russian defenses in any direction. Despite these catastrophic results, the Kiev regime appears to be determined to go on with the counteroffensive.
