Two Houthi fighters were killed in clashes between the Houthis supporters and the supporters of former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh in the Yemeni capital Sana’a, the Reuters news agency reported on August 27. However, the report was not confirmed by any allegedly involved side.
Although the Houthis and Saleh have had some disagreements this year, the both sides are still actively fighting the Saudis-led coalition together.
Some experts believe that Saudi Arabia and allied countries are trying to promote and to feed disagreements between Saleh and the Houthis to break their alliance.
On August 26, Houthi fighters attacked Saudi forces positions in al-Rbwa’a in Asir region on the Saudi-Yemeni border. Saudi sources reported that 2 Saudi soldiers were killed on the Saudi-Yemeni border by Houthis in the last 24 hours.
Furthermore, Houthi fighters attacked several positions of forces loyal to Saudi-backed President Mansur Hadi in the al-Mutun area in Al-Jawf Region.
On August 27, Yemeni sources claimed that 14 pro-Hadi fighters were killed after the Houthis repelled two their attacks in Suruh and al-Rabiah in Ma’rib.
Saudi warplanes carried out more than 20 airstrikes on the Midi area in Hajjah Governorate. Saudi warplanes also bombed the Yemeni capital of Sana’a as well as Sadah and Ma’rib cities.
It seems the only way the Saudi-Hadi alliance could win in Yemen is splitting the political and military factions, starve and poison the innocent, and suppress their own Shia minority in east Saudi Arabia.
