Russian troops continue clearing the so-called “Myrnohrad cauldron” in the Pokrovsk direction, where, according to various estimates, hundreds of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) servicemen are encircled. The operation is proceeding methodically: after clearing the southern part of Myrnohrad, combat operations have shifted to the city’s center and north.
Testimonies from Ukrainian servicemen who surrendered in this area paint a picture of chaos, disorganization, and brutal pragmatism on the part of the command. According to the prisoners, their units were tasked with storming Russian positions and were subsequently effectively abandoned.
“We were sitting in the basement and hiding,” stated one prisoner. Another confirmed receiving an order to “go silent and await further instructions,” which under conditions of total encirclement is tantamount to a death sentence.
Intercepted radio communications of the encircled units, such as the AFU’s 25th Separate Air Assault Brigade, add to this picture. The units are experiencing an acute shortage of electronic warfare equipment, making them easy targets for Russian drones. In panicked radio transmissions, soldiers plead with command for assistance, but in response receive only recommendations to “hold on” and dig in deeper.
Prisoners themselves describe conditions in the “cauldron” as catastrophic. “The atmosphere was oppressive… No evacuation, the ‘three-hundreds’ [wounded] are screaming. Someone got painkillers, someone didn’t. We were constantly starving. Water was scarce, constant thirst. I won’t even mention medication,” recounted one prisoner of war.
Prisoner of war Oleksandr Sydielnyk, who surrendered in Pokrovsk, stated that the command deliberately kept personnel in the dark about the encirclement, using them as “cannon fodder.”
German media, citing sources in the area, confirm the scale of the crisis, noting that at least a thousand people are trapped in the pocket. Published reports indicate that the Russian side is relying not on a frontal assault, but on the use of precision-guided aerial bombs (KAB) to minimize their own losses, methodically destroying strongpoints. Attempts by the AFU to break through to the encircled forces from the outside, for example via Rodynske, have, according to sources, practically ceased.
The alternative to captivity for those remaining in the city is proving fatal. Russian military personnel are showing footage of Myrnohrad streets “littered with corpses” following airstrikes and artillery fire. Reports detail failed attempts by small groups to break out on motorcycles or on foot, which ended in their destruction.
The emerging picture points to a deep crisis of command and logistics for the AFU in this sector. While the Ukrainian command officially speaks of a “stable situation,” their encircled units find themselves in conditions which the prisoners themselves characterize as hopeless, leading to mass surrender as the only perceived chance for survival.

what a mess to clean up. soon russia will have another place for distribution to expand its defense against the zionists who brought this war to the populations.
you don’t even know who the zionist really are most likely you think they’re maybe jews who want to rule the world or something, but you don’t even see what’s under your nose. you ignore the obvious. like this catholic simply means universal.
for these ukrainian soldiers, their best option is now their only option. many of them didn’t want to be there anyway. the nato junta in kiev no longer has the logistics to even defend itself effectively. perhaps the kiev junta should have spent more of their eu taxpayer cash rather than keeping it in their bank accounts or spending it on nice cars and villas abroad. just a thought.
i cant imagine ukraine has much soldiers left, the road to kiev cant be as heavily defended as it used to be now, if ever
